Career
Ms. Charlot has been paralegal and legal secretary for Johns Monroe Mitsunaga Kolouskova PLLC since the firm was established in 2000, and has been a legal secretary in the Seattle area since 1987. She assists our attorneys in all aspects of their practice both as a paralegal and legal secretary, and is our general office manager.
Before coming to JMMK, Ms. Charlot had extensive experience working in insurance defense and construction law at the Reed McClure law firm in Seattle. Since 1997, she has worked exclusively in the environmental land use, construction, and real estate practice, with the law offices of Hillis Clark Martin & Peterson, and since 2000, with JMMK. Her years of experience and broad legal training have enabled her to develop a comprehensive understanding of the interrelationship among the three legal areas, and of the procedures of the federal and state courts, local and state legislative bodies and the various land use hearing boards. Ms. Charlot enjoys working with attorneys, consultants, developers and planners on a variety of projects. She is known for her creativity in research and ability to manage a heavy workload. She has developed a strong working relationship with personnel in many local jurisdictions, as well as state and county agencies, and enjoys extensive contact with our clients.
